Obituary of Eleanor Rose Brown
Eleanor Brown of Quispamsis, wife of Robert (Bob) Brown, passed away at home on January 13, 2014, after a lengthy illness. Born in Saint John on April 6, 1947, she was a daughter of Ruth and the late Joseph VanWeston. Eleanor had many hobbies, including crafts, nutrition and fitness, camping, and talking with family and close friends.
She is survived by her husband Bob, sons Stanley (Sarah) and Rodney (Sheri), sisters Ann Humble, Mae Campbell, Velma Davis, and Terri Henwood (Marc), brothers Ricky (Cheryl) and Lee VanWeston, grandchildren Ava Rose Brown and Mason Turner Brown, mother-in-law Orion Green, her godchildren, Brandon and Bailey VanWeston, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Eleanor was pre-deceased by a sister, Charlotte Lester, and a brother, Burton VanWeston.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119), with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. The funeral service will be held from the Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 17th, at 1:00pm. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances to Ovarian Cancer Canada, or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
