My sincere condolences to the Halcrow family. I remember both Sandra and Dr. Halcrow well from my years at UNBSJ. One funny memory I have is of Sandra when she was getting ready to retire from the bookstore...I recall her telling Chester and me that she needed to retire a couple of years before Kevin so that she could have her routine well established at home before his retirement. They were both wonderful people. May happy memories carry you through the days and months ahead.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Halcrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time,
Both myself and my wife Kay (nee Moreland) were taught Biology, by Dr. Halcrow, at UNBSJ many years ago. He was an excellent professor.

My condolences to all. I met Kevin & Sandra while working at the
Ward Chipman Library at UNBSJ. I moved to Mt. Pleasant Ave. N.
in the early ‘90’s so with my friend Linda Vahtra we would walk her
chocolate Labrador, Coco. We would go up Rocky Terrace to collect
Sandra & Theo and continue our walk in the neighborhood. At times
going to Lily Lake in the summer so the dogs could have a swim.
Cherish your memories and he’ll live in your hearts. He is at peace
and back with Sandra. ❤️

Wow! I am so saddened at this news and it is such a coincidence that his memory came to me today after not having being a student of Dr Halcrow since 1999, and I somehow ended up on this memorial page. I am still shaken up a bit about it.
He taught me discipline in academic writing after he pointed out I had spelled "Conclusions" wrong in my Honour Thesis poster lol. A tough lesson but one I adpoted into my professional work. I still think of that moment everytime time I am finalizing some important writing. He had a huge positive impact on students he mentored, which will be a big part of his legacy.

To all who loved and were loved by Dr. Halcrow: Sincere condolences to you. I have great memories of the Halcrows from my time at UNB Saint John as a student and an employee. His noon hour tennis matches, parties at the Condon’s home, Convocations, and all things academic. Dr. Halcrow’s smile and laughter were heart felt. Please know that others share your sorrow and you are not alone. Cherish the memories and remember the love.

Dear Halcrow family, my deepest sympathy on the loss of Kevin - father, grandfather, uncle, and more. I knew him as a colleague and friend, our first meeting during my job interview - where his probing questions were made less intimidating by his twinkling eyes and subtle wit. I came to know him as a supportive colleague, a source of thoughtful and reasoned input, and a warm and entertaining friend. He and Sandra made a wonderful pair! I’m so fortunate that our lives intersected.
