My sincere condolences to Dale, Tony and Family! I was lucky enough to have the ( Doc ) as a next door neighbour and friend for many years. I am sure he laid awake at night thinking of one liners he could use the next day to keep everybody who was around him smiling and laughing. We played tennis ( neither one of us knew what the hell we were doing ) ! We went to Flames games together, played oldtimers hockey on the same team, he helped with our ball team at the time and was always/always good for a laugh ! Laurie said it best when he remembered him posing as Mr. Atlas in his underwear at an oldtimers hockey tournament in Fitchburg, Mass. ( Priceless )! A better neighbour and friend you could not ask for!

So sorry and saddened to learn of Donnie's passing, I worked with him many years on shift at the refinery, he was the nicest guy to have on shift ... Played haockey many years as well with him "was one tough hockey player, quite a job to knock him off his feet" ... I to have many interesting and funny stories of Donnie, for now they'll remain in my memory ... He was a very good man, who never had any thing but phraise spoken of him ... Though I've lost touch with him these last few years, i'll still miss him greatly ... My deepest sympathy to his wife Dale and his children for this their loss ....

Dale and Family. Karen and I were saddened by Donnie’s passing. I worked with Donnie in the Lab back in the day. He was a great guy on shift. Always upbeat and in good spirits. His sense of humour was appreciated by all who knew him. I have many fond memories and am sure his good nature has been passed on to his children and grandchildren.

He was such a great uncle, in fact, he was my favourite. He always had me laughing with his wonderful sense of humour. When I was in grade 9, I had my confirmation at church and he was my sponsor. As we were about to walk down the isle to the priest, he whispered in my ear,” when you kneel down, I’m gonna push you into him.” I darted down the isle so fast. He was such a jokester. He always cherished our family parties and loved a good hot dog. I know he terribly missed my dad and all the others. It’s comforting to know they have reunited in Heaven and we will all meet again someday. I love you Uncle Donnie❤️ Rest In Peace

Due to distance my encounters with Uncle Donnie were lamentably few, but they were always welcome. My memories are of a gentle soul with a vast and generous sense of humour. He will be missed dearly by all whose lives he touched with love. Our sincerest condolences on your loss.

I miss him already. Thinking of all the good times we had at the refinery together and playing the hockey tournaments we played in Halifax and Saint John .He was the center of attention in the dressing room as he always came up with some off the wall antics that kept all the guys in stiches. Like when he posed like Charles Atlas in his shorts. I am sure all the guys that knew Donnie would have their own stories to tell . He was a great guy and will be sadly missed by all that knew him.
My condolences to Dale ,Tony, Angelina and the girls.

Don't think of him as gone away but think of him as living in the hearts of those he touched - for nothing loved is ever lost and he was loved so much. Dearly missed by sister Myrna. Rest in peace my "little brother". I will miss sharing our love of sports. Dale, Tony, Angie, Sarah, Laura and Anna , I grieve with you in the loss of a husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. His sense of humor and devotion to family was well known to all.
Love to all, Aunt Myrna
