I am very saddened to learn of the passing of Charlie. my dad Fred, when he was alive talked about Charlie all the time..telling us storie's of when they were young. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Charlie. The Peninsula has lost another great man

My deepest condolences to Charlies family. He was a fine man and Im sure you will miss his large presence tremendously. I first met Charlie almost 40 years ago when I was in university. I dont know how I would have gotten through school or to summer jobs had Charlie not been there to keep my old cars on the road. He was so talented and exceedingly generous with his time; and every evening of repair came with instruction, jokes, stories and a coffee break in the warmest place in New Brunswick - Maries kitchen. It was a pleasure to have known him. God bless him and all of you. Stephen Little

No one better than God, understands the depth of your pain and can help you cope with your disquieting thoughts. He is called the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort and he cares for you. (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4; 1 Peter 5:7) He promised that soon in the new world, he will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things will pass away. And no resident will say: I am sick. (Psalm 37:29; Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 21:3, 4) Jesus also reminded us not to marvel at the splendid hope of seeing our loved ones again: For this is the will of my Father, that everyone that beholds the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him at the last day. (John 6:40) But until then, weeping is normal. Even the perfect man Jesus gave way to tears when his friend Lazarus died. While we are plagued with disquieting thoughts, Jehovah God invites us to rely on him to comfort us. In Isaiah 51:2 he said: I myself am the One that is comforting you people. I hope that in due time you and your family receive Gods peace that excels all thought, so that it will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus. May these scriptures bring you solace while you behold fond memories of Charlie.

I was sad to see of Charlie's passing in the TJ. When I lived in Art Miller's apartments -many years ago!-he was always so kind to me. He had a great sense of humor-we always shared a laugh. And he could fix anything. He was always calm and collected-no problem was too much for him to help with. I saw Charlie here on the peninsula many times over the years and he was always the same-friendly,cheerful and with a big smile. Everyone will miss him.
