Obituary of Martha Pearl McQuinn
Martha McQuinn, wife of the late Boyd Waddell of Alberta and the late Roy McQuinn, went to be with her Lord on December 3, 2013 at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre. Born in Saint John on May 7, 1913, the daughter of Moses and Mary (Rogers) Callaghan, Martha was vibrant and active all of her one hundred years--playing Scrabble, picking berries and serving others passionately.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Francis Winter (Howard) of Salt Springs, sister Edith Riley of Ontario, and brother, Edwin Callaghan. “Gram” will also be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Boyd Winter (Jill), Anita Rodgerson (Dean), and Jeff Winter, and great-grandchildren, Deanna, Joshua, Janika, Rebecca, Talia, Peter, and Michael. Martha was pre-deceased by brothers Arthur and Howard Callaghan, and sisters Helen Otis, Gladys Dempster, and Alice Cameron.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119), with visiting on Friday, Dec. 6th, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by the funeral service at 1:00pm, from the funeral home chapel. Interment at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Online remembrances at www.KennebecasisFH.com
