Obituary of Nancy Adele Thorpe
Nancy Thorpe, wife of the late John "Jack" Thorpe, passed away on October 13th, 2013 at Bobby's Hospice, after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Born in Saint John on July 25, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Stanford and Frances Saunders. Nancy enjoyed being with her family, was a member of a bridge club, and enjoyed socializing with her good friends at Tim Hortons. She is survived by her sons Terry (Angela) of Quispamsis, Mark of Rothesay, sisters Stanita Hovey (Jack) and Shirley Jones (Doug), both of Quispamsis, and grandchildren Jason, Megan, and Olivia. In addition to her husband and parents, Nancy was pre-deceased by an infant son, Todd, and a brother, Hugh Saunders. The funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). Although there will be no visitation, family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held from the Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday at 1:00p.m. Interment will take place in St. Luke's Cemetery, Gondola Point. For those who wish, remembrances to Bobby's Hospice or the Joshua Group would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and remembrances may be placed at www.KennebecasisFH.com
