Anne MacEacheron posted a condolence
I am so sorry about Bert. He was such a tease. He always reminded us that as his relatives, we got all our beauty and brains from him (go figure). And of course there was his skill at teaching his niece and nephews how to play soccer (the false kick), going to Texas to see Cowboy Andy, and the specifications of a perfect steak. I'm so sorry I can't be there with you at this time, but my thoughts are with you all. Take care, Anne

Dear Marj & Family, We were saddened to hear of Bert's death. Last week you did tell me that he had been taken to palliative care that seemed very fast. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. Bert, you won't need to worry any more about traveling with all those old people on those bus tours you are in the driver's seat now. Roy and Betty Quartermain posted a condolence
Heaven has a new time keeper, someone to organize the Women's Work, and keep everyone on their toes. Bert and Marge came into our lives through travelling. Whether it be checking the polar bears in Church Hill, sharing the hospitality at the Duck House, viewing the Apple Blossom Parade,or Perce Rock in the Gaspe or some of Marge's fabulous cooking in Rothesay, Bert was always at "His Best" as no one was safe from his teasing. He was so proud of his family and generous with his joy of life. We do treasure our time shared with the Seelys. Our circle is broken until we meet again. Roy and Betty Quartermain

Donna Lee Bury - Freedom Travel & Tours posted a condolence
It is with very fond memories that I recall when "Bert" and Mrs Seely joined me and other friends on a fun-filled tour to the Gaspe. Bert's sense of humour added much to the enjoyment of the entire group during our five days together. When we returned to Saint John at the end of the tour, my husband Bill was re-united with Bert. Bill worked with the E S Stephenson Company for many years where he became acquainted with Bert. My Prayer is that God grant Bert a safe and swift journey Home! Our condolences are with your entire family at this trying time. Bert a safe and swift journey Home!

Marjorie & Family: We were so saddened to hear of Bert's passing. We first got to know you both when I started work at 1 Gondola Point Road in the early 80's and the friendship grew from there. How we all enjoyed getting together for our Lotto 649 parties and Bert always said he would be the only one honest enough to go an pick up the winnings and bring them back to the rest of us! We will miss his humour and are so grateful to have known such a wonderful person. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this very difficult time.
