Obituary of Adrien Joseph Landry
Landry, Adrien J. - The death of Adrien Joseph Landry of Quispamsis, husband of the late Geneva Marie Landry, occurred on Monday, September 23, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Pokemouche, NB on June 1, 1931, he was a son of the late Fabien and Agnes (Foulem) Landry.
Adrien was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force in his younger years, he was then employed as a pipefitter/welder, working in Moncton, Fort McMurray, and in Saint John, for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Bouctouche, as well as fishing, hunting and gardening.
Survived by his daughter, Carolyn Landry (Sean Devereaux) of Bedford, NS; two sons, Bernie (Catherine) of Rothesay and Ronnie of Quispamsis, brothers; Ludovic, Ulysse (Germaine), Simon (Thelma), Domitien (Ghisline), Cyrille (Gisele), and Jeremy (Martina), his twin sister, Adrienne Landry and sister, Simone Landry; two granddaughters, Celine and Isabelle, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, Adrien was predeceased by his brothers; Lucien, Livin, Norman, Alcide, in infancy, Domitien and Cyrille, and his sister, Alexina Paulin.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (849-2119) with visiting on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 10:00 AM . Interment to take place at St. Alphonsus Cemetery, Hampton. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick. www.kennebecasisfh.com
