Linda, we were shocked when we heard the news. We have fond memories of Doug through those Gideon years in the Saint John Camp, the many meetings, prayer breakfasts, Conventions, fellowship in your home, fund raisers, etc. Doug was always a gentleman, an encourager, a man of God and someone we both called a friend. We will miss Doug but rejoice in the fact that he is now with his Lord and Savior for whom he worked so hard for so many years. God will sustain you and your family in the future as you adjust. Doug will always remain in our hearts and yours. 1Cor.15:56-57 John 11:23-26 Ps.34:18

Steven & Heathher Scribner posted a condolence
Linda and Family On Feb 1st a wonderful person left our sight. I had the good fortune to meet and work with Doug in my earlier years in P&P in Saint John. Although the miles increased between us, we were able to stay in touch on occaision. I will always remember Doug's love for his fellow man. Working in a world (P&P) where life seems to begin and end at the reel (end of the paper machine), Doug while visiting me in Thunder Bay, mentioned how we often never see the hundred of good decisions a worker makes, but always focus on the one that turned out not so good. Doug always was able to see the good in all, and I am richer for having had Doug touch my life. Rest eternal Grant onto Doug O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him. Amen Till we meet again, so long my friend.
