Obituary of H. Fiona Bremner
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Fiona Bremner of Quispamsis, cherished wife of Don, announces her death which occurred peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Scotland on August 5, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen (Burns) Campbell.
Besides her husband Don, Fiona is also survived by daughters, Gail Bremner and Dr. Heather Escott; granddaughter, Athena and a large community of friends.
Fiona and Don immigrated to Canada in 1967 and together they raised their two daughters. Fiona was employed in the admitting department at the SJRH until her time of retirement in 2003. She loved music and enjoyed sharing her passion and talents as an organist and choir director at the Summerville United Church.
Fiona’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr’s Burnell, Cockeram and Smith, the entire oncology team; as well as to family and friends for all their support and concern during such a difficult time.
Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 3:00 - 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at Summerville United Church, 1891 Route 845, E5F 1G1, on Sunday, January 20, 2013, at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery.
