Obituary of Dorine Emma McVane
Surrounded by her family, the death of Dorine Emma McVane, wife of the late James Leo McVane, occurred on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Embassy Hall, Quispamsis.
Born in Saint John, on July 18, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Emma Arthurs.
Dorine was employed with Hope Insurance and Sears as a bookkeeper in the Audit Department for several years. She was a charter member of Kennebecasis Baptist Church, and took a journalist course in which she wrote the book, History of Fairvale.
Dorine is survived by her daughter, Janice Baker (Brian), and grandson Brian Baker (Beth), both of Rothesay, NB, sister Ruth Langlais, and brothers; Eugene, and Bryan Arthurs, as well several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Dorine is predeceased by her sisters; June, Alma, and Maxine, and brother Malcolm.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Kennebeccasis Community Funeral Home, on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 1PM. Interment to take place at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
