Obituary of Barbara Louise Phinney
It is with heavy hearts, the family of Barbara Louise Phinney, wife of the late Gordon Phinney, announce her passing on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born on September 22, 1944, in Moncton, NB, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Shirley (Smith) Robinson. Barbara was employed with Kennebecasis Valley High School from 1977 until her retirement in 2003. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, using her computer, dancing, camping, and most of all spending time with her family.
Barbara is survived by her children; Phillip, LeRoy (Sharon), Steven (Brenda), Christina, and Jason, all of Quispamsis, sisters; Karen, and Renna, grandchildren; Tara, Christopher, Alex, Thomas, Amy, Willie, Ryan, Jamie, Shane, Ryan, Zackery, Shawna, Keri, and Tori, great grandchildren; Caden, Ava, Jake, Jack, Derrick, and Adeline Barbara, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son Leslie, brother, Allan "Buzzy", and sister Gloria.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11AM. Interment to take place at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the NB Lung Association.
