Dear Bruce and family, Jack and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to you and your family. Shirley was a truly beautiful person who was caring, thoughtful, community-minded and fun to be with. She welcomed us into the neighbourhood and was never too busy to stop for a chat while gardening or walking handsome Grady. Shirley will be missed by so many. May you treasure beautiful memories as will so many whom she taught and mentored during her lifetime. Our thoughts are with you. Love, Marg and Jack

On behalf of my three children,Matthew,Megan and Maggie, who all had the privilege of attending Shirley's kindergarten, May I express our deepest sympathies. Two of my kids were extremely shy and one was 'over and above'. It made no difference to Shirley. She loved them all and rejoiced in thier differences. She encouraged each child to be the best they could be...and they are. Teaching is such an important and mostly under valued profession. And Shirley was in a league of her own! She will be missed.
