Obituary of Lynn Marie Donaldson

Lynn took her last breath in Palliative Care at the SJRH on Tuesday 20th November, she was 70. Born and raised in Saint John, Lynn spent many years in Vancouver and Kelowna, relocating to Rothesay in 2013. She was predeceased by parents Leonard and Muriel Andrews and brother Ernie. She is survived by her husband Alan, sister Janis and brother Len (Sonya), double cousins Linda, Karen and Gail, and many other cousins, nieces and nephews. Lynn had a zest of life and lived it to the fullest and had a warm smile for everyone she encountered. She hiked, biked, sailed, skied, played at tennis, sang in a choir in Bucerias and loved to travel and entertain. Always interested in people and fitness she trained to become an aquafit instructor and became a peer counsellor with the University of British Columbia Woman's Outreach program in Vancouver. Lynn was a wonderful mentor to Alan's children Kate and Gillian, doting Grandmother to Blue, Lola, Webber and Mio and adoring Great Grandmother to Iris and Manny. Leaves behind many good friends from coast to coast and in Bucerias. A life well lived but to all who loved her, a life which ended far too soon. Thank you to Lynn's GP Dr Sayeda Mohiuddin, Oncologist Dr Gray and staff, and the kind, caring and compassionate staff in Palliative Care. Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). Anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Lynn, a donation to the SJRH Oncology Dept. is suggested. There will be a reception at the Riverside Golf Club, 2524 Rothesay Rd. from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, Thursday 29th November.
