Obituary of David Walter Hunter
With heavy hearts, the family of David Walter Hunter, loving husband of Inez (Fortune) Hunter, announce his passing at Bobby's Hospice on Saturday, June 9, 2018. Born in Saint John, NB on February 23, 1940 he was a son of the late James and Annie (Whittaker) Hunter.
David was a master carpenter by trade and worked for many local construction companies during his career. In his later years he enjoyed working on projects closer to home for the St. Martin's Beautification Society and Fundy Trail Parkway. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was always checking to see who was getting the pole positions. There was nothing in his life that was as important to him as his family. His three girls, later sons-in-laws and then his adored grandchildren were the light of his life.
In addition to his wife of 52 years Inez, he will be deeply missed by his daughters, Andrea (Tim) Gaines, Karen Hunter and Crystal (Cameron) Campbell; grandchildren: Jonah, Samuel, Cohen, Quinn and Cora; and sister Verna Spellman. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Frederick and Stanley.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (849-2119) with visitation on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place in Brown's Cemetery, Baines Corner. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of David may be made to Bobby's Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
