Dear, Don, Jim, Jennifer and Erin, My brother Doug and I and our families send our condolences to you and your families. I also wanted to share a few of my fond memories of Uncle Ian. He came to console my Mother when my Dad died suddenly even though he thought funerals and visitations were awkward. He came to my wedding when Peter and I got married and coaxed me to come downstairs despite my "jitters". He called my Mom often just to say "hi" when she could no longer see to dial the phone. I loved his crazy emails - all caps! - and full of typos. When I told him my Mom could no longer golf because of her hip he muttered "that's because she has that crazy hip move at the beginning of her swing!!" Spoken like only a brother would say!
