I am extremely saddened to learn from Ian of Peter's death. He was my oldest friend dating back to our time together in much happier times as very young physicians at the N&N in 1962. His passing will leave a major void in my life particularly as I had been unaware of his presumably declining health during the past two years since we last met. Joe and Karen

Janet: Our thoughts are with you and your family. We are saddened to lose this great human being, but have smiles, too, and memories. Fun dinners, fascinating people, drop-in visits on The Bike, coffee when we unexpectedly met. That sense of humour. Pig in the Mini. His legendary commitment to patients. You were his rock, Jan, and you steadied him. The kids were his pride and he told us that often! We shall always remember his laugh, paired with his smile. We shall miss that.
