Obituary of Betty Louise Russell
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Betty Louise Russell (Leonard), wife of the late Robert (Bob) Russell, which occurred peacefully at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Betty was born in Saint John on August 26, 1931.
Betty will be sadly missed by her son Peter, daughter-in-law Debra; her much loved grandchildren; Trevor Russell (Nicole), and Pamela Baldwin (Ryan), her great-grandchildren Brody and Brenner Baldwin; her sister Carolyn Leslie, her brother-in-law John Russell and sister-in-law Connie McCauley; many other family members and dear friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was pre-deceased by her son Frederick (Freddie) Russell and sister Joan Leonard.
Betty loved her family dearly an enjoyed many family dinners and afternoons playing cards. She had many fond memories of the years she, Bob and her 2 sons spent camping with their friends and family members. Betty was an avid church goer, loved playing bridge and entertaining. She was also an active member of the Rothesay Chapter of the IODE.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Rd., Quispamsis, NB (849-2119). The funeral liturgy and reception will be held at Saint Paul's Church in Rothesay on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 1 pm. A private family interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Donations in Betty's memory may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation, or the charity of the donor's choice.
