Obituary of Kevin William Wright
The death of Kevin Wright of Rothesay occurred April 7, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Montreal, QC, a son of the late Robert and Lillian (Nichol) Wright.
Kevin was a dedicated teacher serving 31 years at Simonds High School and very active in the community being a founding member of the Rowing Canoe Club, served as the Mayor of Renforth, a past member of the Lions Club and served on the Board of Directors for the Kennebecasis Public Library. He was very passionate about the Men of St. Mark’s Ministry at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Quispamsis and was an active member of the Renforth Boat Club serving as the Past Commodore. He is survived by his daughter, Maureen Penn (Brian), Lac La Biche, AB; cousin, Paul Green, Saint John, NB; and his good friend Carol McDade.
He is resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Vigil Prayers will be held Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mark's Catholic Church, 171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, on Thursday, April 12th, 2018 at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow the Mass, in the church hall. Interment to take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be made to the St. Mark’s Building Fund and online condolences may be placed at www.KennebecasisFH.com.
