As a newcomer to Saint John I met Bruce recently over lunch to gain insight on his volunteer role with a board in Saint John. He spoke passionately about the greater Saint John and how he loved living here albeit Cape Breton was also very special, he spoke so proudly about Wendy and their family and was so very much looking forward to spending more time with them as retirement was in his plans. I left the meeting feeling really good as we shared much in common , of course also being career banker set the stage. Bruce and I really connected and I am glad we had a chance to do so. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Bruce played a major role in my banking career (and life). The four years we spent together working side-by-side each day is a period of my life that I will never forget. He taught me many things about banking, life and family. He always had a story to tell about his own family and spoke fondly and often about them all. I admired all that he took on from his various community board positions to his involvement in minor hockey. I admired his disposition and his ability to strike balance in his life. My regret is not being in touch with him in longer than I care to admit. Our condolences to Wendy and the kids. Brian and Gloria
