Both Daphne and I would like to send you all our heart felt condolences. It was my privilege to work alongside and become friends with Wilfred, a man who impacted the lives of everyone he came into contact with. He was and still is a true servant to his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. His constant desire was to share the God news and that he did so well, with such joy and zest for life. The Lord for sure will be saying to Wilfred Well done my good and faithful servant well done. God Bless, Andy and Daphne

We were so saddened to receive the news of Wilfred's passing away. He was such an example of a man who so faithfully represented and served his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. There was an authenticity to his faith, on display to all he met. We will miss him but know one day we will see him again in the age to come.

We are so sorry Gwen and Jeff to hear of Wilfred's passing. It was such a shock when we found out because we had seen the photos on Friday of him ringing the bell to celebrate his last chemo. Life seems unfair sometimes as we don't understand why Gid would take your loved one away, especially at this time of year. But I guess we will find out when we enter into our eternal rest. At least now Wilfred is in his eternal glory with all those who have gone on before him and he will always be with you no matter where you go or what you do. I know my dad was a better person for knowing Wilfred and I am sure they are trading jokes back and forth in heaven. Please know that we are holding your entire family in our thoughts and prayers and if you need anything or want to talk you know how to reach me.

Just learned of Wilfred's passing, had just come out from breakfast and had the urge to check Cynthia's chat page on Facebook, and the message was there.I felt deeply saddened as he was a very dear friend, having known him from the time he was a little boy. Being enough older, I watched him grow up into a fine Christian man. Certainly a great loss to everyone who knew him. But I feel also a sense of happiness because I know his suffering is over. He is probably up there singing with the angels right now. My deepest sympathy to Joan and family. I know she planned to go over to spend Christmas with him, since he did not feel able to take the drive over. May the God of all comfort be with you as you mourn the loss of a dear brother. And to Gwen and family: may you feel God's presence near as you grieve the loss of a father and grandfather. Think of all the happy memories you all share. Will be remeembering all of you in prayer.

Joan and Larry - Could you have imagined, seven decades ago, in those years when the four of us walked/cycled/skied to and from the one room Steeves Settlement school, that Wilfred would become someone so focused on helping others? He was a tremendous comfort and inspiration to so many... RIP

Patricia and I were both shocked and saddened when we heard of Wifred sudden passing. Sudden death is slways a shock, but for Wilfred it was "sudden glory"! He was a dear brother in the Lord and had such a humble spirit. Everytime we saw him it was always with a smile on his face and a cheery greeting. We will miss him, but he is now rejoicing before the throne and re-united with Lola and Elaine. Our prayers are with you. May He give you sustaining grace during this time.
