Obituary of William Thomson Addison
Surrounded by his family, the passing of William "Bill" Thomson Addison, husband of Freda (Watson) Addison, occurred peacefully at Embassy Hall, Shannex, Quispamsis, on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.
Born on October 8, 1936, in Montrose, Scotland, Bill was a son of the late William and Edith Addison. In his earlier years, Bill enjoyed time as a Scout Leader and was a member of the Montrose Town Band. Bill was employed at NB Power, Fredericton and the Saint John Shipyard in Quality Assurance before relocating to Calgary for several years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and various Choirs, had a passion for golf, deeply loved his dogs and all things Scottish.
Besides his loving wife of 59 years, Bill is survived by his children, Gail Gingera (Jeff) and grandson Jackson of Maple Ridge, BC; Todd (Carey) of Quispamsis and grandsons Thomas and Cameron (their mother, Laurie), brother Eric (Anita), as well as other relatives in Scotland
At Bill's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue.
