Obituary of Chris Tonge
The family of Christopher Keltie Tonge, of Quispamsis, husband of Meredith Tonge, are heartbroken to announce his passing on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
Born on December 18, 1974, in Saint John, he was a son of Tom and Sharon (Dunlap) Tonge. Chris was an electrician by trade, working at Moosehead Breweries and then owning and operating CMT Electrical for many years.
At at young age, Chris was called Noodle. To this day, no one really knows the real story, but the nickname stuck, as he was well known to his nieces and nephews as “Uncle Noodle”. Chris had an adventurous nature about him, always up for a good laugh, and most of all, making sure people had a good laugh. He enjoyed hunting, boating and camping, which always resulted in many laughs and stories. Chris loved playing his guitar, and spending time with family and friends at the camp.
Chris was a wonderful father, son, and friend. Spending endless hours with his family, and always willing to help his friends.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Meredith (Teehan) of Quispamsis, his adored children; Kaitlin, Sami and Carter, his loving parents, Tom and Sharon of Quispamsis, brother Scott of Saint John, and sister Shannon McCarthy (Scott) of Quispamsis, his mother and father in law Mike and Sandra Teehan of Quispamsis, several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends that were considered family to Chris. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119). In keeping with Chris’ wishes, there will be no visitation or formal funeral service. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate Chris’ life at his sister Shannon’s house, 3 Woodmill Drive, Quispamsis, on Wednesday November 27th starting at 12PM. Chris’ wish would be BYOB. In lieu of flowers, a living memorial can be made at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home.
