Obituary of Annie Mae Walker

 

Annie Mae Walker of Quispamsis passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, with her family at her side on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia on April 15, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Peter Dack Wong and Edna Wong (LaSalle). 

Annie worked for the Canadian Army Reserves. She finished her 33-year career as a Master Warrant Officer in the 722 Communications Squadron. Annie was an active member of Saint Andrews Kirk United Church. She enjoyed Latin line dancing, bowling, square dancing, clogging, and many evenings playing cards and games with her wonderful group of friends. 

Annie was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years Donald Walker, her parents Dack and Edna Wong, her sister Van Craig, brothers Peter Wong and Mento Wong, and great-granddaughter Ila Goodwin. She is survived by her gentleman friend Evert Bos of Quispamsis; sons Larry of Hammonds Plains, NS, Donny Jr. (Karen) of Nerepis, and Danny (Shelly) of Wickham; four precious grandchildren Loren, Emma, Danielle (Ray), and Roman; brothers Billy, Robert (Deanna), Jimmy (Linda); sister-in-law Shirley Walker; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Resting at Kennebecasis Funeral Home, 152 Pettinghill Rd, Quispamsis NB (506-849-2119). Visitation will take place at Kennebecasis Funeral Home on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held in Kennebecasis Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 2:30 PM with a reception to follow. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
