Dear Bill and Debbie. I am sorry for the loss of your mom. Your mom lived life so well, ceasing any opportunity to share or serve those around her. She was quite a lady!! I went looking for something in a small basket on my desk and took special note this time of the turquoise yarn doll that she had given me a few years ago. I then wondered if your mom was still with us and learned that she passed just this past Aug. You were both so very sweet and thoughtful to Mom when you took the time to visit . Thank you.
This will be your first Christmas without your amazing mom. Know that I am thinking of you and your families.
What a blessing it was to meet you both and to know your mom.
Sincerely,
Catherine Beckingham

Jean was a special lady I was privileged to get to know as a teenager. My grandparents and Jean’s parents settled near to each other (Hoyt/Tracy) as immigrants and my dad especially had stories of young Jean, her father Joe and the family. I have many fond old memories of that home in Champlain Heights bursting with laughter and children. Rick, Bill, Andrea, Walter and Debbie…I am so sorry for your loss. I loved your mum.

Bill and Debbie, on behalf of Shirley Bettle and her family our sincere condolences. Jean was a lovely woman with whom we shared a special bond. She loved to snuggle with Frankie (my dog) and had a special smile for me when we shared a private joke. We really liked Jean. You both were kind and compassionate caregivers, not just to Jean but to others at her table, especially Mom. We miss Jean and we miss you both. We hope you find comfort in knowing that you did the best for your mom.
