Obituary of Linda Maria Nauss
It is with heartfelt sorrow, the family of Linda Maria Nauss, of Rothesay, announce her passing on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Linda was born on October 28, 1951, in Halifax, NS, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Jacquelyn (Crane) Nauss. Besides her parents, Linda is predeceased by her brother Robert Nauss, who was very dear to our hearts.
When Linda was in her 20’s she moved to Quispamsis, where she brought up her three daughters. She was employed with Plant Hope Adjusters (Claims Pro) for many years. Linda was a past member of many Bowling Leagues, Fundy Gardners, Probus and Rothesay Hives. Linda loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed going to all of their sporting events. As a grandmother, she had an infectious way of making her grandchildren laugh and smile. Linda had several girlfriends, who she loved spending time with, whether it was just laughs, movies, dances and other events. She enjoyed 24 years as a seasonal resident at Pirate's Cove Campground. Linda enjoyed travelling in the winter to warmer locations, making many memories.
Wherever Linda went, she would light up the room with her vibrant personality, always bringing a positive outlook. Her friends referred to her as the “Light of their Friend Group” with many cherished memories.
She was a loving and devoted mother to her three children, Shari Girouard (Steven), Millie Fitzgerald (David), and Jolene Bettle (Dave), her loving grandchildren; Jayme, Angie, Emily, Aidan, Alexis, and Lucas, nieces; Micala, and Ashley, and her beloved dog Cooper.
Visitation will take place at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119) on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. A private funeral service will take place at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home. Linda will be laid to rest at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in memory of Linda can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Parkinsons Canada.
