Obituary of George Edward Wiggins

It is with heartfelt sorrow that the family of George Edward Wiggins, husband of the late Isabella “Bella” (Campbell) Wiggins, announce his passing on Saturday, December, 23, 2023, at Kennebec Manor, Saint John.

Born on September 12, 1935, in Codys, NB. He was a son of the late Forrest and Lottie (Buchanan) Wiggins. George was employed as a superintendent for many years in construction, working with Rocca Construction, Lisson Construction, and Cardinal Construction. He was a Red and Gold Seal Carpenter.  George was known for his sense of humor and jokes. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, fishing, cooking, but most of all, time with his family.

George is survived by his children; Mac Wiggins (Maria) ofKingston, NB, Mark Wiggins (Shara) of Quispamsis, and Lorrie Wiggins (Jeff Richard) of Rothesay, brothers; Arthur (Marilyn), and Gerald (Jane) both of Coles Island, NB, sisters; Carol Williams (Gary) of Saint John, and Frances Williams (Myles) of Fredericton, grandchildren; Lisa Wiggins, Casey Olde Damink(Don), Amanda Wiggins, Jody Wiggins, Kaylee Cosman (Mark), Jonathan Fillmore (Chantelle), Eric Fillmore, Carson Smith, Colby Smith, Ben Wiggins, Luke Wiggins, and AbbyWiggins, great grandchildren; Sadie, Ryan, Nichole, Natalie, Dustin, Violet, Odessa, Thomas, and James, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Besides his parents and his wife, George is predeceased by his son Keith, and brothers Donald, and Elmer.

Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119) with visiting on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 10-12PM, with a Celebration of Life following at 12 PM. Those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed and may be viewed by clicking the provided link. For those who wish, donations in memory of Geroge can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the IWK.
