Celebration of Life
Obituary of David Saunders
It is with broken hearts the family of David Saunders of Quispamsis, announce his peaceful passing on September 26th at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
David was born January 1st, 1954, to Alden and Jean Saunders. He lived his entire life on the Chamberlain Road, where he took pride in raising farm animals and growing gardens.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty (Higgins) Saunders, and their children, Kevin (Chrissy), Krissy (Matthew) Creamer, Kathy (Joe) Smith, along with two cherished granddaughters, Addison and Avery. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers Ossie Saunders, Donnie Saunders, Billy Clark, and sister Barbara McQuinn.
David drove school bus for 27 years, and at the same time operated a cedar sawmill business that he built from the ground up. He enjoyed going hunting in his earlier years and driving stock cars at the Hammond River Raceway. He was always up for a challenging project, anything from motors to mini homes. Those around him benefited from the knowledge and stories he shared from his own life experiences.
Keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation. There will be a private burial that will take place at a later date. A celebration of life will be held on October 15th at the Meenan's Cove Beach House, 199 Model Farm Road, Quispamsis NB, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and all are welcome to attend.
