Obituary of Elmer William Mychaluk
It is with great sadness that the family of Elmer William Mychaluk, husband of the late Joyce Mychaluk, announce his passing on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born on April 1, 1937, in Drumheller, AB, he was a son of the late Alex and Mary (Melnychyn) Mychaluk. Elmer was employed in Alberta as a Civil Engineer with the Alberta Oil Fields for over thirty-seven years.
Elmer met the love of his life Joyce and were married in 1961, and raised their three daughters, nothing pleased them more than watching their family grow. After retirement, Elmer and Joyce moved to the family farm, where they would horseback ride, and enjoy nature with family and friends.
Elmer is survived by his daughters; Luana Mychaluk (Jaro) of Rothesay, NB, Lori Tanner (Bruce), and Lynn Mychaluk both of Calgary, AB, brother Morley (Karen) of Calgary, grandchildren; Colin Tanner (Rebecka), Jack Tanner (Ivy), Brody Mann (Delaney), Xane Mychaluk, Lena Scott, two step-grandchildren; Iain and Kobi Scott, as well as many extended family and friends. Elmer will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In keeping with Elmer’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119). Donations in memory of Elmer, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Red Cross.
