Obituary of Jann Graham
It is with an appreciation for a life that was lived to the fullest, that the family of Janice “Jann” Graham, wife of Randy Graham of Sussex, announces her passing which occurred on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Jann was born on May 31, 1969, in Sussex, New Brunswick, and was the daughter of the late Sir Dillwyn and Loretta (Lewis) Inkpen.
Jann lived her life with an open mind and an open heart. She loved people and loved to make everyone and anyone smile. She gave herself to anyone who needed her. Jann’s major focus in her life was her family. Jann enjoyed spending long evenings on the deck with Randy stargazing with romantic moments by the fire. Her favourite thing to do with her husband was when they would go for drives to Alma in their TA for lobster, which was her favourite. She was so proud of her children and when her grandchildren came along, she was so excited to spend time with them and love them in the way that only Jann could. She was their Gigi and will always be their Gigi. Jann was a supportive friend and incredibly strong woman. She was raised by her father, due to her mother’s passing at a young age, and it is safe to say, she was daddy’s girl. Jann loved to dance and sing, especially if it was songs from the 80’s. If you put on a little Cher, you knew Jann would be dancing. She enjoyed picking fiddleheads and spending time in nature, which filled her spirit with joy. She always had an open mind and loved to learn, especially about extra-terrestrial life and space. Always an animal lover from a young age, she loved spending time in the company of them, especially her cat, Smokey. She lived a positive and wonderful life and her family is at peace knowing Jann is now one with the universe. When you feel the wind on your face, or see a beautiful sunrise, see it as a gift from Jann.
Jann is survived by her husband, Randy Graham; daughters: Katelyn (Matthew) MacLeod, Jasmine (John) Fitzgerald and Jessika (Chris Bragg) Savoie; her sons: Jesse and Alexander Graham; siblings: Heather (Randy) Shaddick, Wendy Inkpen, Steven (Ronalda) Inkpen, Ron (Trish) Inkpen; beloved grandsons, Gareth and Jackson; as well as several nieces, nephews and many, many friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Rodney Inkpen.
Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Rd. Quispamsis (506-849-2119). In keeping with Jann’s wishes there will be no formal funeral service or visiting. For those who wish donations may be given to the Saint John Regional Hospital- Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the family.
