So sorry to hear to hear that Paul has passed. I talked to him briefly a little while back at the Dolan Rd. Irving and am now sorry that I didn’t have more time with him. I have had him on my mind this past week as I look at the four leaded stain glass lampshades that are still in use in our hall. Also the old China cabinet that I got from him and restored. (Still using that also) He bought his first car from my mom, I think it was 56 Plymouth. He paid her over time and she was pleased that he met his obligation. The memories of our young families visiting each other, our musical endeavours, pitching horseshoes in the yard and of course our philosophical discussions. All this and more just reminds me that it was good to know him and his family. Prayers and well wishes to all the family.

Thanks Harvey and Bea for all the great memories. And I do remember the 56 Plymouth very well as I spent alot of time up on a hoist waiting for repairs. I had forgotten about the stain glass lampshades he made for you. And his many challenging discussions he had with you, all of which he loved. Thank you Harvey and Bea for being a part of his life. You were a light in the dark for him many times.

My goodness, there is such a sadness knowing that our friend is taken away from us.
Linda and all of Paul's family, we're so sorry for your loss.
We're wishing you strength during such a difficult time.
I got to know Paul 37 years ago and we've been the best of buddies ever since.
What a friend he was, doesn't get any more solid than that. Paul wholeheartedly cared about your wellbeing .
I'm so grateful I got to talk to Paul during his last few days in the hospital. We had a chance to say our goodbyes. Paul knew he was in big trouble but he was ready to move on to the other side, He was ready for his next adventure.
We laughed, we cried and had some great talks.
Most of us know that one of Paul's life stories has an episode where he as a young man was given a chance to be a better husband, a better dad, a better friend and a better person after a near death experience.
I think you nailed it Buddy...RIP

Walter (alias "Wally Wally"), your friendship meant so much to him. He and you were like brothers in so many ways with the exception of language differences. He could never get the hang of speaking Dutch although he tried.
He always valued your opinions when it came to "where do I get. . . . ; who do I see about . . . .;
What do you think of this. . . . . .). Your friendship helped him become the best of the best Walter. Thank you for the beautiful zebra wood urn which he would love.Thank you

I am sorry to hear of the passing of Paul. He was a remarkable individual who had a passion for his business and a vision for the future. Paul was always happy, outgoing, and extremely gregarious. He loved to talk about his ideas and plans, and he always had a way of making those around him feel inspired and motivated.
Paul was a true entrepreneur, always looking for new and innovative ways to grow his business and create new opportunities for himself and those around him. He had a remarkable ability to see the potential in people and situations, and he was always eager to share his insights and ideas with anyone who would listen.
Throughout his life, Paul touched the lives of many people, both personally and professionally. He had a way of making everyone feel valued and important, and he always went out of his way to help others whenever he could. His kindness and generosity will be remembered by those who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire others for years to come.
Paul was a true visionary, and his passing is a loss to the business community and to all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit and legacy will live on through the countless people whose lives he touched.

To Linda, Kim, Melissa and other family members of Paul. Ken and I are so sorry for your loss.
Paul was so kind, humorous and never missed an opportunity to stop his vehicle and asked how we were settling in to our new neighborhood. He had many lived experiences and lots of stories to share. I was mesmerized by his many talents including writing poetry, a few of which he shared with us.
He met our daughter years ago in Fredericton working as a Veterinarian Technician and we would have long conversations about both their love for animals and their experiences.
Paul has assisted me so many times not only when I have lost a pet but also when I needed personal advice. He was selfless.
Paul I miss you. You have left us too soon!

He always admired the courage the both of you had and still have regarding your move. He was enthralled with your stories as well. Dear Linda and family:
Surprised to hear about Paul’s passing. I worked for Paul in the early seventies with IBEW at the Irving Pulp Mill. Besides being a good foreman, he was great to work for. Always looking out for others and really caring about them.
I called Paul a few years ago looking for some personal information. Paul went above and beyond finding out what I needed to know and truly cared.
Sincerely missed, Gary and Della

I first met Paul six or so years ago. I will cherish all our philosophical discussions, both where we agreed, which was often, and where we disagreed. He was always open-minded and wondered at the magnificence of life. He shared his poetry books with me, which I always felt priveleged to see. Paul never missed a chance to do his disconnected thumb trick any time he saw a child. You could tell he got as much of a kick out of it as the kid. He set the example for all of us to follow: open-minded, positive, constructive and creative. He was always ready to lend a hand. I am so thankful to have known him and I am sure that he is having a discussion about Heaven with St. Peter as I write this. We'll meet again, and I look forward to that handshake.

Don, thank you for sharing your reminisces with us. I assume you knew that his daily run to get his wife a coffee was just a ruse? First thing every morning before he got really sick, he would holler out to me, "going to get your coffee". I knew that my coffee would be far from hot and steamy when he got home with it. He enjoyed his many discussions with you, always coming home with a smile, I am thankful that he had someone to talk to that early in the morning. Thank you Don

Linda, and all the family and friends of Paul...Katinka and I would like to extend our very sincere condolences. Please allow me to share some of almost too many warm thoughts & memories I have of Paul.
Our good friend Paul has passed away. He will be so dearly missed. New to Canada in 2003, I was blessed with meeting Paul, introduced thru Walter. Four boys off to Princess Auto. A day I’ll never forget. Fascinated by Paul’s profession I quickly confessed that I had a sincere interest in death and all that surrounds it. As many of you will understand and appreciate, Paul sunk his hooks into me and never let go.
Lucky me!
While we stood at the head of an aisle, a comment he also made that day was, “Yes I’ve just met you but right now I’m right here and you have 100% of my attention and interest. I always think .. Who know’s, this guy may be my next best friend. Let’s give him some time”. What a refreshing way of looking at interacting with a stranger.
It was not our last meaningful conversation but the first of oh so many more to come. To hours and hours of listening to his wisdom, his life experiences and his take on life and death. Over the 20 years that followed Paul took me and my mind to many places, from very dark to blindingly bright, to a few moments of bliss, to tackling many challenges that brought substantial changes to my personality and to my priority list. He ground away many of my rough edges. He made my life and my self imposed struggles easier to understand and to deal with. He was a wonderful mentor.
He told me he had no fear of death. And I believe that to be true. He was curious and looking forward to the step into the beyond, to the other side. But he was in no rush. He still had so much to do beyond all the items he had already checked off. He never stopped. He just never stopped. Considering all the health issues he was constantly battling and had fought all his adult life, “Remarkable!” and for me very, very inspirational. What a guy!
I can write a book about my 20 years with Paul. I’m not sure how it all works and how it’s all connected but he showed up in my life at a critical time for me.
He has been one of the best gifts I have ever received and was allowed to enjoy.
I repeat myself when I say “He will be dearly missed”. By all who know him I am sure. Truly.
Rest in peace buddy. Hope we meet again.
Frank

The moments, I mean the hours that he, you and the other 2 muskateers were solving the world's problems were the hours he relished. I always knew when he was on the phone with you, laughter, not conversation, was the focus of the call. Thank you Frank for being the friend that you were to Paul.
