So sad to loose this great lady so soon. My sincere condolences to Edward and Anthony and her extended family. I will always remember Pat first as a wonderful lady I was lucky enough to call a friend. She was my boss at the UNB bookstore for many years where her patience and understanding in all situations was second to none. She was someone I looked up to however I never felt intimidated as she was so kind and caring. Smart, funny and engaging, someone I loved to be around. I will miss her presence in my life as will all that knew her. Rest in peace dear friend.

Dear Edward, Anthony and Family,
It was with great sadness that I heard of the passing of Pat. As a publishers rep, she and I would meet and spend the better part of the day talking about publishing, authors, books selling and running a bookshop. Pat was always so kind and knowledegable, that the day always turned out to being a highlight of my trip. The Lorenzo series was her passion and because she was so organized all the details just fell into place for events. Thinking of you all. Linda and Don Skinner (HarperCollins).

So very sad to hear the news of Pat ... she will be sorely missed. I have fond memories of talking with her and working with her at the UNBSJ Bookstore. Always so friendly and helpful. She made the Bookstore onto a gathering place that many of us gravitated to to see what books and other stock she procured. Her special events with homemade cookies and apple cider were don't-miss occasions. Condolences to her husband Edward and son Anthony.

I was very saddened to learn of Pat’s passing and send my deepest sympathy and condolences to her family and close friends for their loss. I had the pleasure of working with Pat on the Board of Directors of the Saint John Arts Centre. Elizabeth and I were avid supporters of the UNBSJ Book Store and the Lorenzo Society, so would enjoy Pat’s company at the various author presentations held at the university, and through visiting the book store. She will definitely be missed for her kind manner and for her integrity. Our caring thoughts and prayers are will you all, as you reflect on her life and many contributions to family and community.
Most sincerely,
Bernard & Elizabeth

Our heartfelt sympathy to Pat's friends and family. I was blessed to know Pat as a fabulous mentor and friend. Many of my happiest memories from UNB were orchestrated by or with Pat's involvement. Her love for literature really impressed upon me and many others in this community. When I always pick up a new book to read I think of Pat and wonder if she read it or would enjoy it. We will miss your wit and artistic whimsy.
