Obituary of Lynn Alward
It is with heavy hearts, that the family of Diana "Lynn" Alward, announces her passing, which occurred on Friday, November 11, 2022, at Turnbull Nursing Home.
Lynn was born in Sussex, NB, on March 7, 1956, to the late Calvin Snow and Diana (Earle) Raymond. Lynn graduated from NBCC as an RNA in 1976, and later worked at the DVA Hospital, the VON, private duty nursing, as well as instructed with the St. John Ambulance, until her retirement.
Lynn is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Douglas, her three children; Michael (Heather) of Hampton, Christina Barrett (Doug) of Quispamsis, and James of Quispamsis. She will be missed as "Gran" to her grandchildren; Ethan, Ben, Gabby, Callie, Liam, Sidney, and Mitchell. Her brothers; Blair Snow of PEI, Geoff Snow (Cathy) of Quispamsis, sister Jennifer Reid of Ottawa, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents, Lynn is predeceased by her stepfather Ray Raymond, and mother-in-law Edith Alward.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Turnbull Nursing Home for their compassion and outstanding care provided to Lynn.
In keeping with Lynn's wishes there will be no formal funeral service. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) from 2-4 and 5-7 PM. Graveside service will be held at Pioneer Cemetery, Penobsquis, NB on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 11AM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
