Obituary of Phillip Edward Phinney

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Phillip E. Phinney announces his passing which occurred on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the Sussex Health Centre. Phil was born on September 30, 1962, in Saint John, NB, and was the son of the late, Gordon and Barbara (Robinson) Phinney.

Phil will be fondly remembered as the family agitator and jokester, he loved to have fun with his family. He could often be found fixing cars in his backyard or working on various projects. Though he was a quiet man, he was incredibly strong and determined, when he set his mind to something, he did it. Phil is going to be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his children Tara and Jason Eatman, and Matthew McGraw; siblings: Gordon LeRoy (Sharon), Steven (Brenda), Christina Phinney and Jason Phinney; grandson Caden Gallant; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Leslie Phinney.

Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Rd. Quispamsis (849-2119), with visitation on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery where Phil will be reunited with his parents.
