Obituary of Coleen Mary LaMorre
It is with great sadness that the family of Coleen Mary LaMorre announces her passing, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, August 20, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 11, 1965, in Grand Falls, NB, she was the daughter of the late Colin and Therese “Tita” Mulherin.
Coleen will be remembered by many for her devoted love of her family as well as for being an amazing mother to her two boys. She took such pride in her two sons and watching them grow into the men they have become. Everyone who knew Coleen knows how creative she was, and many of her friends and family are lucky to have one of her handcrafted birdhouses. She also loved to golf, especially with her family, and could be quite the competitor on the course. No project would remain untouched in the LaMorre household, Coleen loved to take on projects around the house and was the truest sense of a “doer”. Coleen will be remembered for her warm and selfless nature, always more concerned with those around her than herself. She was full of life and had a beautiful spirit and great sense of humour that will live on through her family and friends.
Coleen is survived by her loving husband, Dan; her beloved sons, Luke (Melissa) and Eric (Aleisha); brothers: Paul (Barb Jensen), David (Rolley Gagnon), Steven (Debbie McLeod); sisters, Laura (Yvon) Albert and Anne (Randy) Wilson; as well as several nieces, nephews and special friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Mike Mulherin. Coleen is also survived by her beloved dog, Max.
Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Rd, Quispamsis (849-2119), with visitation on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 171 Pettingill Rd, Quispamsis, on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Coleen would be appreciated to the Saint John SPCA. Online condolences may be placed at: www.KennebecasisFH.com
