Mass of Christian Burial
Obituary of Charlie LeBlanc
With an appreciation of a life well lived and loved, the death of Charlie LeBlanc, husband of Yvonne of Rothesay, occurred on Monday, May 31, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family, after a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Born on March 30, 1954, in Bouctouche, NB, he was the son of the late Dennis and M. Doris (Maillet) LeBlanc. Charlie was employed as a lineman with NB Power, before retiring after 35 years as a Supervisor. He was a faithful member and employed with St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Charlie was a member of the Men of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Pettingill Road, making hundreds of meals for the Senior Groups and for those in need at Romero House. He was employed with Portage Atlantic, Cassidy Lake, and with Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, as a support to staff and families. He could comfort anyone by his gentle smiles and his hugs. He was a member of the Freedom Riders Motorcycle Club and enjoyed his nights at Tim Horton’s with his real and “imaginary” friends. Charlie was always lending a helping hand and an ear to anyone who needed one (when he had his hearing aids in or turned up). He had a zest for life, was loved and respected in the community. Charlie had a contagious grin, corny jokes, a problem solver and loved to tease everyone, if he teased you, he liked you. He was genuinely a good man, he loved and was so proud of his family. He taught us about life, its lessons, and to be grateful for everything, no matter how small. It is indescribable how much he’ll be missed, how much he was appreciated and respected. A part of our hearts will be missing but we are all truly thankful for having him as a part of our lives. Because of Charlie our lives are more complete.
Besides his loving wife Yvonne, Charlie adored his children; Adam (Aimee) of Calgary, AB, and Marcia LeBlanc (Paul Webb) of Smithtown, NB, brothers; Paul (Deborah) of Smithtown, and Victor (Lorraine) of Rothesay, his cherished grandchildren; Jeffrey, Katelyn, Cohen, and Sadie, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt and uncle, and extended family.
Besides his parents, Charlie was predeceased by his brothers; Patrick and David LeBlanc, as well as several aunts and uncles.
Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119). Due to Covid, the family has requested there will be no visitation, as it could take over a week... A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Limited seating will be available, please register at https://www.stmarksparish.ca/funeral For those unable to attend, a livestream of the Mass can be viewed on Charlie’s obituary at www.kennebecasisfh.com In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Romero House or to a Living Memorial in memory of Charlie.
