Obituary of Alvin Ross Galloway
The death of Ross Galloway occurred suddenly on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at his residence in Quispamsis, at the age of 69. Ross was born in Plumweseep, NB and was the son of the late Alex Galloway and Margaret Wikstrom. Loving husband of Ruth Galloway (nee Nolan) and cherished father of Tina Adams of Quispamsis, Marlene Thompson (Aaron) of Quispamsis and Ken Galloway (Angela) of Quispamsis. Ross will be missed by his grandchildren, great grandchild, sister in law Eileen Galloway, nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his brother William Galloway and sister Betty Hachey Urquhart. Ross was the owner of Ross Galloway Construction (Duradek), a business he worked for 27 years. He was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Kennebecasis Branch 58, Rothesay. Ross enjoyed playing pool with his friends at Rothesay Avenue Billiards and was an avid golfer. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Ross’ life will be held at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at 10 am. A reception will follow in the church hall. In Ross’ memory, expressions of sympathy made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, would be appreciated by the family.
