Obituary of Edna Hazel Kindred
Unexpectedly at her residence on November 2, 2011, Edna Hazel (Stevens) Kindred, wife of the late Gerald Francis Kindred peacefully passed away in her sleep at the age of 71. Born in Fairville, West Saint John to the late John and Hazel (Williamson) Stevens. Edna was a faithful member of Kingston Trinity Parish and was also a member of the ACW. She will be fondly remembered for playing the piano and organ at the church and Trinity Terrace. Edna was an avid bowler and bingo player. Edna is survived by two sons, Kenneth Christie of Nova Scotia and Gerry (Shianne) Kindred of Kingston; three daughters, Heather (Reo) Christie of Barnesville, Tammy (Junior) Waddell of Kingston and Angela (Sonney) Dempster of Upham; three brothers, Jack and Murray of Saint John, Donald (Marg) of Sussex; eleven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Edna was predeceased by brothers, Ronald, Kenneth and Freddie; sisters, Eva and Shirley. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Sunday from 2-9 PM. A graveside service will be held at All Saints Cemetery, Clifton Royal, on Monday, November 7th, 2011, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kingston Parish Hall.
