Obituary of Geneva Landry

The death of Marie Landry of Quispamsis, wife of Adrien Landry, occurred Monday, March 7th, 2011, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Weisner, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Saulnier) Caissie. Marie was a member of St. Mark’s Parish and in her younger years was very active in the Catholic Women’s League. She enjoyed knitting and took great pleasure in gardening. Marie was a kind woman who will be sadly missed by her family and all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Besides her husband, Adrien, Marie is also survived by one daughter, Carolyn Landry (Sean Devereaux) of Bedford, NS; two sons, Bernie (Catherine) of Quispamsis and Ronnie, at home; granddaughter, Celine; six sisters, Bertha Gould (Alfred) of Dieppe, Corinne Bourque, Dorice Gauvin (Gerald), Louise Robichaud, Diana Legere (Jean-Paul), all of Moncton and Christine Gaudet McGrath (Harold) of Cocagne, NB; sister-in-law, Marie Caissie of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Norma Legere; brother, Laurie Caissie and uncle, Anthony Saulnier. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Vigil Prayers will be held Monday at 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, on Tuesday, March 15th, 2011, at 10:00 AM. A reception will be held in the church hall immediately following the Mass. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
