Obituary of Mary Theresa Buckley

<p>The death of Theresa Buckley of Rothesay, wife of James R. Buckley, occurred on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at St. Joseph&rsquo;s Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born in Iona, Cape Breton, NS, on October 26, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Gerard and Sadie (MacNeil) Tracey. Theresa always enjoyed the time she spent volunteering with the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch # 58 and KV Minor Hockey. Besides her husband, James, Theresa is also survived by three daughters, Genevieve Carpenter (Richard) of Quispamsis, Cheryl Gosselin (Eric Sparks) of Rothesay and Lori Campbell (Kim) of Saint John; six sons, James Jr. of Rothesay, Stephen (Ginnette) of Toronto, Kevin (Julia), Gerald (Cathy), Carl (Kelly) and Terry (Theresia), all of Rothesay; one sister, Geraldine Saunders of Moncton; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Genevieve Tracy; one brother, Dan Tracy; as well as, one granddaughter, Suzanne Wisted. At the request of the family, no public visitation will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 17, 2010, from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Rothesay, at 11:00 AM. A reception will be held in the church hall, immediately following the Mass. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506) 849-2119.
