Obituary of Geraldine Grace Wilson
The death of Gerry Wilson formerly of 139 Renshaw Rd., Rothesay, NB, wife of the late Robert Wilson, occurred Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010, at Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, NB. Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ansley and Pearl (Akerley) MacFarlane. Prior to her retirement, Gerry was employed at NBTel. She enjoyed the outdoors and had many fond memories of her time simply enjoying the beauty of nature. She was a true environmentalist, a passionate gardener and a quiet feminist at heart. Gerry adored her feline companion, Bill and was a devoted family woman. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Gerry is survived by her three sons, Alan R. Wilson of Victoria, BC and his daughter, Amy, Brian Wilson of Rothesay and his children, Jacqueline, Alexander and Benjamin and Chris Wilson (Bonnie) of Edmonton, AB and their children, Vanessa and Sarah; one precious great-grandson, Aiden; one brother, Bill MacFarlane (Joan) of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Friday, August 13th, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held from the chapel of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home on Saturday, August 14th, 2010, at 9:30 AM. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens, Saint John.
