Obituary of Shirley Elizabeth Regan
Shirley Regan, of Rothesay, wife of Dr. Gerald “Bud” Regan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 27th, 2009. Born in Truro, NS, she was the daughter of the late David and Irene (Compton) Crocker. Shirley grew up in Truro and at her family’s cottage on Brule Shore near Tatamagouche. Shortly after becoming a nurse, she married Bud and they moved to Trail, British Columbia then to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before settling down in Saint John. Besides her husband, Bud, Shirley is also survived by two children, Sharon Regan of Kingston, ON and Dave Regan (Elizabeth Pugh) of Halifax, NS; one sister, Audrey Cadieux (James) of Montreal, QC; two granddaughters, Sarah and Rebecca Regan; several nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law. She was predeceased by one sister, Jean Cambon. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Wednesday from 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held from Kennebecasis Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, December 31st, 2009, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery.
