Obituary of James Spurgeon Allaby

James Allaby of Quispamsis, NB, formerly of West Saint John, NB, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 25th, 2009, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in West Saint John, he was the son of the late James and Lottie Allaby. James is survived by two sisters, Carol Smith (Ken) and Della Allaby both of Ontario; four brothers, Alden (Joy) of Ontario, Donald (Ann) of Quispamsis (at whose home he resided for the past twelve years), George of Fredericton and Stanley (Karin) of Ontario; as well as, several nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by one sister, Margaret and two brothers, Percy and Douglas. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation from 1-3 PM on Friday, November 27th, 2009, which will be immediately followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM, officiated by Rev. John Dunnett. A reception will be held immediately following the service, at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Old Cemetery, Saint John, at a later date.
