Obituary of Bruce Roy McCully

Comforted by his family, the death of Bruce R. McCully of Gondola Point, NB, husband of Martha (Saunders) McCully, occurred November 13th, 2009, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB in 1928, he was the son of the late Seymour and Ada (Mill) McCully. Bruce worked as a heavy equipment salesman and later as an auctioneer, well known as “McCully the Auctioneer”. In his later years, Bruce became a self-employed cabinet maker. He was a member of St. Luke’s Anglican Church and was also a charter member of the Gondola Point Lions Club. Besides his wife, Martha, Bruce is also survived by two sons, Mark (Paddy-joe) and Jeffrey (Karen), both of Quispamsis; five grandchildren, Christopher McCully (Sarah) of London, ON, Matthew McCully (Nicola Buckley) of Quispamsis, Meghan McLean (Ryan) of Calgary, AB, Mallory and Marlee McCully (Matt Morehouse), both of Quispamsis. He was predeceased by two bothers, Blair and Gerald. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Gondola Point, on Tuesday, November 17th, 2009, at 2:00 PM. A private committal service will take place in the adjoining cemetery. Following the memorial service, a reception will be held at the Anglican Church Hall.
