Obituary of Alida Marie Fraser

The death of Alida M. Fraser, wife of the late Eldon Fraser, occurred on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint-Louis-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucie (Arsenault) Guimond. Alida is survived by two daughters, Dawn Masten (Dannie Smith) and Joan Saunders (Garey), both of Rothesay; one sister, Laurette Guimond of Saint John; two brothers, Nazaire and Alonzo Guimond, both of Saint-Louis-de-Kent; five grandchildren, Alida Masten (David Mitchell), Peter Masten, Trish Saunders-Hill (Rob), Randall Saunders and Lynn Saunders (Walter Folkins); five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Alida was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held from the chapel at Kennebecasis Funeral Home, on Saturday, September 19th, 2009, at 1:00 PM. A reception will be held immediately following the service, at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
