Obituary of Muriel Jane Price
The death of Muriel Price of Low Wood Estates, Rothesay, wife of the late Lawrence Price, occurred Wednesday, August 12th, 2009, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Harvey Station, NB, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Ella (Miller) Herbert. Muriel was a faithful member of Hillcrest United Baptist Church and a Dominion Life Member of U.B.W.M.U. She was educated at Harvey Elementary, McAdam High School and UNB Fredericton. Upon the completion of her education she became a respected teacher, principal and District School Supervisor in the province of NB. Muriel retired in 1980 and moved to Rothesay in 1994. Muriel is survived by two sons, Charles Price (Nelda) of Quispamsis and John Price (Valerie) of Saint John; two very special granddaughters, Angela Fiander (Dennis) and Erika McGee (Aden); three much loved grandsons, Robert Price, Michael Price and Mitchell Price (Jen); two precious great-grandchildren, Rachel and Macey McGee. She was predeceased by four sisters, Elizabeth Cook, Margaret Norton, Anna Moffatt and Nellie Lingley; as well as, one brother, Lewis Herbert. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Monday, August 17th, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A memorial service will be held from Kennebecasis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 18th, 2009, at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in the United Baptist Church Cemetery, Centreville, NB, at 3:00 PM. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
