Obituary of Neddy Savoie

The death of Neddy Savoie of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Maureen (Lindsay) Savoie, occurred Monday, May, 25th, 2009, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in New Castle, NB, he was the son of the late Gerard and Louisa (Rouselle) Savoie. Neddy was a loyal employee of the Saint John Drydock, where he worked as a pipe fitter. He enjoyed woodworking and loved animals. Most of all, Neddy loved his family and he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and true friend. Besides his wife, Maureen, Neddy is also survived by two daughters, Tammy Langille (Jeff) of Saint John and Christina Lindsay (Ken Campbell) of Bloomfield; two sons, Paul Mason (Sheri Fanjoy) of Black River and JR Smith of AB; sixteen much loved grandchildren; one sister, Yolande Jimmo (John) of Quispamsis; one brother, Bue Savoie (Penny) of New Castle; mother-in-law, Helen Coates of Saint John; sister-in-law, Donna Patterson (Charlie) of Saint John; brothers-in-law, Bub Mason (Vicki) of BC, Doug Mason (Laura) of ON and Stenner Mason (Anne-Marie) of BC; Lilliane Black of Miramichi (cherished sister-in-law), who raised Neddy from a young age; very special and dear friends, Daryl Jr. and Sandra Ritchie; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Neddy was also predeceased by one sister, Armonde Cabrel and two brothers, Emile and Elry Savoie. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, with Vigil Prayers being held at 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 28th, 2009, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Quispamsis, at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow the Mass, at the church hall.
