Obituary of Emery Raymond Steeves

The death of Raymond Steeves, of the Chamberlain Road, Quispamsis, NB, husband of Joan (Black) Steeves, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Thursday, January 22nd, 2009, at the age of 69. Born in Petitcodiac, NB, he was the son of the late Emory and Emily (Fawcett) Steeves. Besides his wife, Joan, Raymond is also survived by two daughters, Pauline Cotê (Tom) of Grand Bay-Westfield and Bonnie Cotê of Quispamsis; five sons, Mike Steeves (Susan), Andrew Steeves (Krista) and Jim Steeves (Pam), all of Quispamsis, Rob Beers (Joanne) of Hampton and Randy Beers (Lori), also of Quispamsis; fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister-in-law, Doris Steeves of Petitcodiac; several nieces and nephews. Raymond was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by one son, Ricky and one brother, Fred. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 26th, 2009, at 2:00 PM, from the chapel at Kennebecasis Funeral Home. Interment will take place in St. Luke’s Anglican Cemetery, in the spring.
