Obituary of Doris Mary Ann Miles

The death of Doris Miles, wife of the late Thomas Miles, occurred on Tuesday, October 14th, 2008, at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home, Saint John, NB, at the age of 85. Born in River Bourgeois, Cape Breton, NS, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred L. and Sarah Anne (Bernard) McPhee. Doris is survived by two sisters, Florence Bates and Jean Gagnon (Sylvio), both of Saint John; three brothers, John McPhee of BC, Lawrence McPhee (Pat) of Quispamsis and Wallace McPhee (Shirley) of Saint John; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by five sisters, Irene Haynes, Mary Cormier, Gertrude Trigg, Jacqueline LeBlanc and Anna Savard; and six brothers, Joseph, Daniel, James, Michael, Francis and Edward. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Vigil Prayers will be held on Thursday at 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, on Friday, October 17th, 2008, at 10 AM. A reception will follow, in the church hall. Interment will take place in Douglas Harbour Cemetery, Grand Lake, NB, at a later date.
