Obituary of Alma Patricia Powers

The death of Alma Powers of Barsa Subdivision, Rothesay, NB, wife of the late Murray Powers, occurred Saturday, August 23rd, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Donkin, NS, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Isabelle Young. She is survived by her five children, Patsy Powers, Rothesay, NB, Wanda Campbell (Brian), Quispamsis, NB, Murray Powers (Verdie), Quispamsis, NB, Kevin Powers (Krista), Nackawic, NB, Gail Brooks (Don), Nackawic, NB; several grandchildren; one great grandson and special companion, Brandy. Besides her husband and parents, Alma was predeceased by one sister, Jeannie St. Perrier. The family wishes to extend a loving thank you to a very special angel, Bonnie O’Brien. Alma will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Besides spending time with loved ones, Alma enjoyed playing crib and was a devoted member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506) 849-2119, where visitation will be held Monday from 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 14 Elliott Road, Quispamsis, on Tuesday, August 26th, 2008, at 2:00 pm.
